Located along the slopes of a hill, overlooking the southern sector of the Gulf of Olbia, the fortress still appears today, despite the collapses, mighty and impregnable.
Documented in 1339, in the second half of the 14th century it became alternately the domain of the Aragonese and the Arborea giudicato; it was permanently abandoned at the beginning of the 15th century, when the island was entirely conquered by the Iberians.
Few elements remain today: a polygonal curtain wall encloses the remains of a square-plan tower, which still rises to about 10 meters high, and two rooms, as well as a small cistern.
