The Museum of the Collegiata of San Lorenzo and San Dionigi, established in November 2004, includes as its museum space the Church of San Lorenzo (Lombard Gothic 14th century) and is expected to be completed in the future with the adjacent deconsecrated Church of San Dionigi (12th-18th centuries). The visit includes works (about 40) strictly related to the church or originating from churches in the city, suppressed or destroyed, placed on the 10 altars and in the bays, works attributable to the period between the 14th and 18th centuries; among others, some absolute masterpieces: – Lombard artist 14th-15th century – Polyptych of San Giuseppe – grand wooden carpentry rich with about 80 figures in bas-relief, high relief and in the round – G.B. Crespi known as Il Cerano – Crucified Christ and Saints – signed and dated 1610.
