The Museum today consists of three rooms. In the main, larger room, the sections are displayed on two levels: Osteology with various types of skeletons from newborns to adults, a rich collection of skulls, including the section dedicated to “illustrious people” with the skull of the scientist Valentino Brugnatelli, the bones of the trunk, upper limbs, and lower limbs; the Angiology section which preserves in the central showcase the “natural statues,” entire cadavers prepared dry using vessel injection techniques, as well as a series of specimens relating to the heart, the venous, arterial, and lymphatic systems; the Embryology section with embryos, human fetuses, and uteri in gestation; the General Anatomy section with delicate preparations related to connective, cartilaginous, and bone tissue, as well as preparations of muscle tissue, nerves, and blood vessels.
In the two smaller rooms, specimens related to Splanchnology, Esthesiology, Neurology, and Topographic Anatomy are housed.
