This is evidenced by the splendid baroque houses overlooking the Hauptplatz, at the center of which stands the Trinity Column. Also worth a visit are the Landhaus where Kepler taught, the Minorite Church and the Carolingian St. Martin’s, the ancient Alter Dom and the imposing nineteenth-century Neuer Dom.

Among modern buildings, the Ars Electronica or Museum of the Future and the Lentos Kunstmuseum, dedicated to contemporary art, stand out. Nearby, you should see the baroque Abbey of Sankt Florian and Steyr, the city of the Christ Child and nativity artisans, complete with a museum and Christmas office.
