In the Hauptplatz, the main square, the street lamps create a warm atmosphere along the row of pastel-colored facades.
Among these stands out the Schloss Liebburg, with its two turrets and onion-shaped domes: it dates back to the 17th century and houses the Town Hall. Lienz is located at the confluence of the Isel and Drava rivers and offers surroundings rich in attractions: from the beautiful Dolomites of Lienz, with countless hiking trails and ski slopes, to the evocative Schloss Bruck, on the outskirts, a lovely 13th-century castle that was once the residence of the counts of Gortz.
