The Interactive Science Museum of Foggia, inaugurated on October 1, 1998, also plays a role in urban redevelopment and revitalization, as it is located in a suburban neighborhood of the city inside industrial buildings that were formerly entrusted to the “Leonardo da Vinci” Technical Institute. The Museum is free of architectural barriers that could prevent access for disabled visitors; all necessary services for them are also available. The Museum features a large hall suitable for organizing conferences and congresses, equipped with a projector, slide projector, video recorder, stereo system, overhead projector, computer-video connection, satellite connection, and Internet access. Particular attention is paid to the setup, furnishings, and construction of the exhibits, to emphasize both the aesthetic values of science and the cognitive values of art.
