The Archaeological Museum of Barbarano Romano preserves artifacts from the Etruscan rock-cut necropolises of the area, the main one being San Giuliano, about 2 km northeast of the village. The materials mostly consist of funerary offerings found in tombs dated from the late 9th century B.C. (Villanovan period) to the 3rd century B.C. (more recent burials). These are mainly bronze and ceramic finds, but there are also several sarcophagi and tuff obelisks.
