Set up inside the headquarters of the Subasio Mountain Park, the exhibition presents the geological and paleontological heritage of the area within the broader context of geological eras and the principles of fossilization. The exhibition is divided into three rooms: the first illustrates the themes of fossil formation and geological eras; the second analyzes the typical rocks and fossils of the Subasio Mountain area; in the third, there are fossil reptiles from the Mesozoic era coming from international fossil deposits, the Jurassic of Umbria is compared with that of other European areas (Holzmaden and Thouars), and the extinction process of ammonites and dinosaurs is explained.
