The Gallery is the exhibition heart of Palazzo Doria Pamphilj in Rome. Here, in the four wings overlooking the inner courtyard with its splendid Renaissance arcades, as well as in the two large adjacent rooms, the Aldobrandini Hall and the Primitives Hall, most of the masterpieces of the private collection of the Doria Pamphilj family are concentrated.

Built on the original core of Cardinal Fazio Santoro’s residence dating back to the early 1500s, the gallery also represents the part of Palazzo Doria Pamphilj that hides the oldest and most interesting history, a history made of nobility, politics, and unions between some of the greatest Italian noble families: from the Della Rovere to the Aldobrandini, from the Landi to the Doria Pamphilj.
