The museum rooms collect testimonies and artifacts found during excavations and investigations that have made it possible to reconstruct the origins of the Cathedral between Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages. The exhibition path consists of illustrative panels, graphic reconstructions, casts of inscriptions, and archaeological finds, including an early Christian oil lamp, a sarcophagus with bas-reliefs, ceramics, coins, and mosaics. The rooms also preserve figurative, documentary, and sacred goldsmith works. The display also includes the gilded copper angel originally placed on the Cathedral’s pinnacle.
