At the Department of Human and General Physiology, it houses an important historical heritage of instruments used in the research and teaching activities carried out here during the 19th and 20th centuries. This collection represents the historical memory of the evolution that has characterized an experimental discipline such as Human Physiology, a cultural heritage of the University of Bologna. The collection is divided into eleven sections, from optical instruments to historical texts, to devices used to measure the various physiological functions of the human body. The collection is enriched by numerous anatomical or instrument drawings, hand-drawn for educational purposes.
