Ancient Radin Workshop, Museum of Breganze Craftsmanship, Breganze

Inside the ancient Radin workshop, the “Small Museum of Breganze Craftsmanship” was created. A fortunate combination between the passion of Mr. Gabriele Radin and the commitment of the Historical Research Group, with the patronage and financial support of the Municipality of Breganze.

The workshop, specialized in ironwork, is located on the right bank of the Chiavone Bianco. The workshop was opened in 1923 by Antonio Radin. Over 150 apprentices trained “on the job” have passed through the Radin workshop.

Entering the premises, which maintain the characteristic structure of artisan workshops active between the 1920s and the post-World War II period, you can breathe the atmosphere of another era. Times when human skill prevailed over technology and artisan ingenuity made up for equipment shortages.

The passion of Gabriele Radin has revived a place rich in memory, able to offer young generations a compelling testimony of times that risk being erased by neglect. Many machines have been restored; the equipment is in perfect working order.

Alongside the rich collection provided by the Radin family, visitors can explore the collection of objects and tools for “battirame” donated to the Association by the Sorio family.
