Sul promontory that juts out from Mount Solaro, on the Anacapri plateau, stands a Roman villa, still reasonably well preserved, characterized by an area intended as a viewpoint, a residential quarter with a triclinium room at the western end, and another private sector. The terrace of the belvedere extends along the edge of the plateau, from one end to the other of the promontory, and consists of a long loggia with ambulatio with arches and pillars, running from east to west, followed by a second raised and curved section. In the first section, the external loggia, originally covered by a small columned portico, corresponded inside to a second ambulatio, equipped with resting seats. At the end of the loggia opens a luxurious residential quarter. An alcove, preceded by a vestibule and a belvedere terrace, is obscured beneath the medieval tower; while, towards the west, two large living rooms are located under the loggia. In a cubiculum (bedroom) of this part of the villa, among other things, a torso of a nude male statue was found, while some remains of mosaic flooring and drainage conduits are preserved on the vast plateau extending behind the loggia and the belvedere quarter.
