Sul promontory that juts out from Mount Solaro, on the Anacapri plateau, stands a Roman villa, still reasonably well preserved, characterized by an area intended as a belvedere, a residential quarter with a triclinium hall at the western end, and another private sector. The terrace of the belvedere extends along the edge of the plateau, from one end of the promontory to the other, and consists of a long loggia with ambulatory arches and pillars, running from east to west, followed by a second elevated and curved section. In the first section, the external loggia, originally covered by a small colonnaded portico, corresponded inside to a second ambulatory, equipped with resting seats. At the end of the loggia opens a luxurious residential quarter. Obliterated beneath the medieval tower is an alcove, preceded by a vestibule and a belvedere terrace; while, towards the west, under the loggia there are two large living areas. In a cubiculum (bedroom) of this sector of the villa, among other things, a torso of a nude male statue was found, while some mosaic floor remains and canalization conduits are preserved on the vast plateau extending behind the loggia and the belvedere quarter.
