On the promontory jutting out from Mount Solaro, on the Anacapri plateau, stands a Roman villa, still reasonably well preserved, characterized by an area intended as a viewpoint, a residential quarter with a triclinium hall at the western end, and another private sector. The terrace of the belvedere extends along the edge of the plateau, from one end of the promontory to the other, and consists of a long loggia with an ambulatory of arches and pillars, running from east to west, followed by a second elevated and curved section. In the first section, facing the outside loggia, originally covered by a small columned porch, there was a second ambulatory inside, equipped with resting seats. At the end of the loggia opens a luxurious residential quarter. Beneath the medieval tower lies a small alcove, preceded by a vestibule and a terraced belvedere; while, to the west, under the loggia, there are two large living rooms. In a cubiculum (bedroom) in this part of the villa, among other things, a torso of a naked male statue was found, while some remnants of mosaic flooring and drainage conduits are preserved on the vast plateau extending behind the loggia and belvedere quarter.
