Here, in the homeland of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the seven notes enjoy maximum attention especially in summer when, from late July and throughout August, the Salzburg Festival or Salzburger Festspiele takes place.
Recently, a seasonal version has also been established during the Easter period, but the main event remains the summer one.
In 2006, the Festival grandly celebrated the 250th anniversary of Mozart’s birth with a special edition: indeed, the 22 operas of the artist were staged.
The Salzburg Festival is a world-class event both for the number of performances offered day by day and for the important names competing to participate; obviously, the audience responds with great enthusiasm and tickets sell out quickly.
