Sala della rimembranza, Udine

The museum is located in three rooms on the ground floor of the cloister of the former Convent of S. Agostino, now the Alpine troops barracks. The exhibition route documents the Risorgimento period, the First and Second World Wars, the establishment of the Alpine Brigade Julia, the role played today by the Alpini in humanitarian and peace operations and in disaster relief interventions. The collection includes relics, documentation on the history of the Brigade and on its prominent members, photographs, and a rich newspaper library.
