Il Museo, open since 2003, exhibits private Latronichesi collections purchased by the Municipality, thanks to funding from the Banco di Napoli Institute – Foundation. The exhibition is thematic and divided into eight different sections: Grain cycle; Grape cycle; Clothing; The carpenter; The blacksmith; The shoemaker; The house (The kitchen; The bedroom); Transport and road system. The Museum is distinguished by the attention it pays to the display of tools used in peasant work and those of artisans supporting agriculture; the activities of the farrier and the tinner are also documented. It also exhibits household items. Each exhibited object is marked with an inventory number.
Most of the objects come from the Latronichese territory and the rest from Lagonegrese, Senisese, and others from outside the region, particularly from Campania.
The Museum has a computerized inventory-cataloging system for its objects with over 800 catalog records accompanied by digitized images, a dedicated website, a CD-rom about the collection, and additional informational material.
