A partire da September 2011, the Museo Archeologico Mansio Sebatum is open to the public. It is the first museum in South Tyrol dedicated exclusively to the Iron Age and the Roman era in the region. The museum is located on four floors and tells the fascinating story of the settlement of Sebatum as it was called San Lorenzo di Sebato at the time. An impressive number of finds in San Lorenzo and its surroundings, as well as research results on the Iron Age and the history of the Roman Empire in our territory, offer a rather vivid picture of the daily life of this important Roman road station. In setting up the museum, great attention was paid to the educational aspect, the possibility of comparing past and present, as well as playful and interactive learning. It is indeed our intention to ensure that the visit to this museum is an adventure, especially for children and young people.
