Il Palazzo della Cultura is an old convent transformed and redeveloped in 2001 to become a cultural hub housing the Civic Gallery, the Pende Hall, the Nojani artists’ hall, and the room dedicated to Dyalma Stultus. Recently, a museum section was created, with various display cases, to accommodate archaeological finds: vases, armor, bronze, finely worked laminae, and precious goldsmith objects of inestimable historical and artistic value found in numerous tombs dating back to the 6th century B.C., from Peucetian necropolises in the Nojani countryside in the Cipierno, Trisorio, and Calcàro districts. Famous is the bronze belt with the running quadriga. Currently, these finds are preserved and/or exhibited in the archaeological museums of Bari and Taranto.
