Il Museo della frutticoltura is located at the Larchgut residence in Lana di Sotto, an imposing complex consisting of a medieval tower and a late Gothic part built later. Opened in 1990, the museum features extensive documentation on the history and current situation of fruit growing in South Tyrol. The topics range from the reclamation of the Adige plain to various cultivation methods, old and new fruit varieties, pest control, irrigation, and finally to harvesting.
