Il Museo della frutticoltura is located at the Larchgut residence in Lana di Sotto, an impressive complex consisting of a medieval tower and a later Gothic section built afterward. Opened in 1990, the museum presents extensive documentation of the history and current situation of fruit growing in South Tyrol. The topics range from the reclamation of the Adige plain to the various forms of cultivation, old and new fruit varieties, pest control, irrigation, up to the harvest.
