Set up inside the headquarters of the Parco del monte Subasio, the exhibition presents the geological and paleontological heritage of the territory in the broader context of geological eras and the principles of fossilization. The exhibition is divided into three rooms: the first illustrates the themes of fossil formation and geological eras; the second analyzes the typical rocks and fossils of the monte Subasio area; in the third are fossil reptiles from the Mesozoic era coming from international fossiliferous deposits, comparing the Jurassic of Umbria with that of other European areas (Holzmaden and Thouars) and illustrating the extinction process of ammonites and dinosaurs.
