Exhibited inside the headquarters of the Parco del monte Subasio, the exhibition presents the geological and paleontological heritage of the territory within the broader context of geological eras and the principles of fossilization. The exhibition is divided into three rooms: the first illustrates the topics of fossil formation and geological eras; the second analyzes the typical rocks and fossils of the Monte Subasio area; in the third are fossil reptiles from the Mesozoic era coming from international fossil sites, the Jurassic of Umbria is compared with that of other European areas (Holzmaden and Thouars) and the process of extinction of ammonites and dinosaurs is explained.
