Con the birth of ARCA, counted among the ICOM and AMEI Members since 2009, Oltre il Chiostro aims to overcome the classical concept of museumfication, with the goal of making contemporary the meeting and exchange with the artistic production of our days.
The Museum, divided into six different routes, actually collects within it religious testimonies of contemporary art from 1949 to the present day, created by artists of national and international importance such as: Carlo Alfano, Vincenzo Aulitto, Aviero Bargagli, Renato Barisani, Annamaria Bova, Robert Carroll, Arturo Casanova, Loredana Cerveglieri, Riccardo Dalisi, Ciro de Falco, Prisco De Vivo, Gianfranco De Angelis, Antonio Del Donno, Stelio Di Bello, Gerardo Di Fiore, Alì Hassoun, Renato Laffranchi, Christian Leperino, Giorgio Longhin, Guglielmo Longobardo, Francesco Lucrezi, Francesco Manes, Stelio Maria Martini, Rosaria Matarese, Dino Migliorini, Serena Nono, Maria Palliggiano, Rosa Panaro, Vincenzo Dino Patroni, Aulo Pedicini, Andrea Pistolesi, Filippo Rossi, Mimma Russo, Italo Schirra, Antonio Tammaro, Anna Trapani, Mauro Vaccai, Carla Viparelli, Samuele Vanni, Pietro and Rino Volpe.
The Museum has also recently started a collaboration with the Italian Association of Friends of the Nativity Scene, to create a permanent section entirely dedicated to nativity art, in order to highlight the cultural and historical-artistic value of one of the oldest expressions of the Neapolitan tradition and culture in the world.
