In the Galleries, housed in 24 rooms, the most important collection of Venetian painting from the 14th to the 18th century is preserved, including some absolute masterpieces such as Giorgione’s “The Tempest,” Titian’s “The Pietà,” Carpaccio’s “The cycle of the stories of Saint Ursula” from the school of the same name, and Veronese’s “The Feast in the House of Levi.”
On the top floor of the Palladian convent is the Picture Gallery, open to the public free of charge, by reservation only. The Drawing Cabinet of the Galleries of the Academy holds among others some of the most important sheets of Western culture, including Leonardo’s “Vitruvian Man.”
