Il Museo di Storia naturale “Bios Taras” di Taranto located in Corso Umberto, owes its creation to the commitment of Aldo Bianchi, his wife Anna Fiorenza and Prof. Paolo Parenzan. Born with the aim of providing universities and schools of all levels with specimens from the animal, plant and mineral world, over the years the Museum has expanded its collections, developing into collections of entomology specimens (insects from all over the world including wonderful exotic butterflies and huge beetles), specimens of exotic shells from the Red Sea, mineral specimens. Inside the Museum there are also specimens of reptiles and fish from the deep abyss.
