There is a wide selection of hotels and hotel chains of a high standard, generally equipped with modern rooms, sauna, and swimming pool. The rates almost always include a generous breakfast and the on-site restaurants are open until late at night.
In summer and on weekends, it is easier to find accommodation at discounted rates, especially if traveling in a group. From June 1st to August 31st, it is also possible to stay in the so-called summer hotels, more economical facilities (room with bathroom and shower), occupied during the rest of the year by university students and scattered throughout all residential neighborhoods.
Some are also part of the Finnish Youth Hostel Association. The offer of B&B and farm stays is wide and interesting. Throughout the country, there are about 300 rural facilities capable of accommodating tourists at their best, with half-board or full-board options, or simple overnight stays with breakfast.
