Museum of the Champions, Novi Ligure

Opened in 2003, the Museo dei Campionissimi is the largest cycling museum in Europe. A passionate tribute dedicated to the Piedmont cycling champions such as Costante Girardengo, who was born in Novi and began his remarkable sporting career there, or Fausto Coppi, who was an honorary citizen of Novi. The Museum is aimed at a diverse audience, ranging from fans of competitive cycling to cycling enthusiasts or those who simply hop on a bike to ride freely. Set up in a former industrial warehouse of 3,000 square meters, it offers the possibility to get close to the world of cycling in every aspect: the exhibition has been designed with the most advanced museographic criteria, with multimedia and virtual supports, large screens projecting the most exciting moments in cycling history, and a calendar of cycle tourism itinerary proposals to enhance the local area.
