MAO – Museo d’Arte Orientale, Torino

The Museum of Oriental Art was born from the redefinition, renewal, and expansion of the Oriental Section of the Civic Museum of Ancient Art.

The Municipality of Turin has made available to the new museum the Palazzo Mazzonis, a building it owns located at the intersection of S. Domenico and S. Agostino streets.

The MAO also aims to collect, preserve, and present to the public significant works of artistic production of Asian societies and to allow scholars of the culture and art of those countries a deeper study of the works themselves.
