Together with Loch Linhe and Loch Locky, it forms the Caledonian Canal, Caledonian Channel, a precious and safe shortcut between the North Sea and the Atlantic. In summer, it is worth taking a small cruise aboard the numerous boats (some equipped with underwater photo and filming devices) that sail its waters and, in the absence of monsters, capture the spectacular ruins of Unquart Castle, one of the most photographed in Scotland; before visiting the Official Loch Ness Monster Exhibition Centre in Drumnadrochit, the museum where all Nessie memorabilia are gathered: photos, film sequences, testimonies… and everything that can help intrigue even the most skeptical, as well as some very modern multimedia routes, allowing you to trace 500 million years of history.
