Il Benedict’s path is a route to be done on foot or by bike, along 310 kilometers, stretching from Norcia to Subiaco, divided between the Umbria region (just a small initial part) and Lazio, reaching almost the border with Campania.

A naturalistic and spiritual path, divided into 16 daily stages and crossing the most significant places in the life of Saint Benedict of Norcia.

The route extends from the foothills of the Sibillini Mountains to the Upper Aniene Valley, up to the Liri valley. Norcia, Subiaco, and Montecassino are the main stages that tell the life of Saint Benedict: Norcia, his birthplace, Subiaco, where he lived for more than thirty years, and finally Monteccasino, the place of his last years of life.

Moreover, the pilgrimage also includes places of saints such as Rita of Cascia, Francis of Assisi, Thomas Aquinas. In Poggio Bustone, it is possible to undertake the path “With Wings on Your Feet”, in Rieti the other spiritual path “Francis passed through here”, and finally in Monteccassino it is possible to join the Southern Francigena Way.
