Galleria civica Segantini, Arco

Located in the ground floor rooms of Palazzo Panni, the Gallery, named after the Arcense artist Giovanni Segantini (Arco, 1858 – Schafberg, 1899), offers a series of exhibition events linked by the intention to study the territory as a place of memory, discovering history through the artistic personalities who to varying degrees were influenced by it or drew inspiration from it, and as a space for comparison for future analyses and interpretations concerning the aesthetic structure of the constantly evolving landscape.

After the success of the major exhibition dedicated to him in 2008, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of his birth, the Arco municipal administration dedicates a permanent space to Giovanni Segantini in the ground floor rooms of the seventeenth-century Palazzo dei Panni, which for almost ten years has hosted the exhibition activities of the city’s civic gallery, an outpost of the Museo Alto Garda.
