Located in the ground floor rooms of Palazzo Panni, the Gallery, named after the artist from Arco Giovanni Segantini (Arco, 1858 – Schafberg, 1899), offers a series of exhibitions connected by the intention to study the territory as a place of memory, exploring history through the artistic personalities who have been influenced by it or drawn inspiration from it, and as a space for future analysis and interpretations concerning the ever-evolving aesthetic structure of the landscape.
After the success of the major exhibition dedicated to him in 2008, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of his birth, the municipal administration of Arco dedicated a permanent space to Giovanni Segantini in the ground floor rooms of the 17th-century Palazzo dei Panni, which for almost ten years has hosted the exhibition activities of the city’s civic gallery, an outpost of the Alto Garda Museum.
