Located in the ground floor rooms of Palazzo Panni, the Gallery, named after the Arco artist Giovanni Segantini (Arco, 1858 – Schafberg, 1899), offers a series of exhibitions connected by the intention to study the territory as a place of memory, discovering history through the artistic personalities who have been influenced by it to varying degrees or who have drawn inspiration from it, and as a space for comparison for future analyses and interpretations concerning the aesthetic structure of the ever-evolving landscape.
After the success of the large exhibition dedicated to him in 2008, on the occasion of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of his birth, the municipal administration of Arco dedicates to Giovanni Segantini a permanent space in the ground floor rooms of the seventeenth-century Palazzo dei Panni, which for almost ten years has hosted the exhibition activities of the city’s civic gallery, an outpost of the Museo Alto Garda.
