Nelle sale del “palazzo di Marcabruno” è allestita un’esposizione permanente che illustra, attraverso ricostruzioni, video e plastici, la battaglia di Calliano. Il 10 agosto 1487, la piana sottostante il castello fu infatti teatro dello scontro fra le truppe tirolesi e veneziane, che avanzavano verso Trento nel tentativo di espandere la loro egemonia sul territorio. La Repubblica di Venezia subì un’inattesa, quanto clamorosa sconfitta e in battaglia perse la vita il celebre condottiero Roberto da Sanseverino, di cui è esposta copia della lastra tombale che lo ritrae con il vessillo di San Marco capovolto.
