“Scultors in Brufa”, an open-air sculpture park, was conceived in 1987 by inviting one sculptor each year to exhibit their works along the streets overlooking the vineyards and small squares of the village, acquiring a piece created specifically for the town.
Brufa, on whose hills lie the vineyards of the prestigious Torgiano wine production; it dominates the plain of the Tiber and the Assisi plain up to Foligno. It is part of the Torgiano – Brufa – Miralduolo – Torgiano ridge, where “The Wine and Art Road” develops. In this landscape, large sculptures by contemporary artists (Pierucci, Sforna, Pizzoni, Miniucchi, Giuman, De Felice, Liberatore, Caruso, Sguanci, Mastroianni, Carroli, Lorenzetti, Roca-Rey, Carrino, Giuliani, Marotta, Mattiacci, Staccioli, Trubbiani, Cascella, Magnoni, Brook, Corsucci) have been placed, commissioned by the Pro Loco of Brufa, the Municipality of Torgiano, and the Province of Perugia to create points of attraction for the eye.
