Over the decades, the Abruzzo National Park has continuously expanded and improved, and today it is visited every year by about two million tourists, coming not only from Italy but also from abroad. Although it is an Apennine park, the strength and grandeur of its nature, the primordial atmospheres of certain environments, and the ancient cultures that survive in its villages and small towns are striking. When it comes to hospitality, there is an embarrassment of choice. The Visitor Centers of the Abruzzo National Park are true gateways, where you can obtain information and useful services for staying, hiking, participating in naturalistic activities and environmental education. Each Center also offers a themed wildlife area, a museum, and a botanical garden. The one in Civitella Alfedena, for example, is dedicated to the wolf and lynx, offering the possibility to observe them, discover their way of life, relive the stories, cultures, and legends connected to them, watch film screenings, immerse yourself in fantastic Nature Trails, relax in the equipped picnic area, with plenty of space to run and play. The Centers in Villavallelonga and Mainarde are instead dedicated to the Marsican brown bear and also offer museums, films, and educational paths even for the little ones to explore the lair and habits of the charming bear, along with the opportunity to observe some specimens in a large enclosure and participate in activities at the Pond and the Educational Garden. These are just some of the opportunities offered by the Abruzzo National Park for a visit among the flora and fauna of the Apennines.
