The Shard is the name of a building in London that already holds a record: it is the tallest skyscraper in all of Europe. The Shard bears the signature of the Italian architect Renzo Piano and rises 310 meters into the sky of London. Inside there are 95 floors, accessible via 44 elevators that can carry up to 12,000 people: this is the maximum capacity of The Shard.
Being a true London attraction, The Shard can be visited: at the top of the kaleidoscopic structure, you can access panoramic galleries, upon payment of an admission ticket.
The price is certainly not low: the full ticket (adult) costs 25 pounds per person, while the price for children is 19 pounds.
Definitely high rates, as tall as The Shard structure itself: there have indeed been controversies due to these charges considered excessive, especially when compared to tickets for climbing well-known European attractions, such as the TV tower in Berlin or the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
