Over 50,000 postcards to tell a century and a half of history across various aspects of the human story, since the first postcard in the world was created in the Austro-Hungarian Empire on April 1, 1869. Opened in the late 1980s thanks to the insight of its founder Carmelo Nuvoli, a lifelong passionate collector, the Isera collection has grown over time, featuring pieces dedicated to the history of the postcard and then on love, art, customs, fashion, war, work, literature, politics, religion, science, technology, entertainment, sports, tourism: every field is represented. Also interesting is the section dedicated to postcards from the Trentino region and those by famous illustrators.
The exhibition also includes calendars, prints, posters, handbills, and rare books. The museum rooms also feature rotating temporary thematic exhibitions
