The Museum of the Primitivo Wine Civilization is located inside the Manduria Wine Producers’ Cellar. Born from the idea of the wine cooperative with the intent to enhance knowledge relating to the territory in the cultivation of grapes, the Museum is located in the 19th-century Cellar with star vaults, structuring the museum exhibition into two types of routes. The first is related to the knowledge of everyday life objects and agricultural work that made up the economy of the territory. The second route features an exhibition of ancient machinery from the wine factory. An integral part of the exhibition also includes the display of documents and writings related to the agricultural world. Today, the Museum hosts conferences and countless cultural events.
