The small parish museum is housed in the sacristy of the church of San Giovanni in Monte Oliveto and in the adjacent parish office. It collects important furnishings and sacred objects, reliquaries, ivories, glass and ceramic artifacts, some paintings and sculptures dating from the 14th to the 18th century. Particularly notable for their preciousness are the reliquaries of Saint Cecilia (silver filigree, 14th century), Saint John (gilded copper, 1413), Saint Mary of Egypt (gilded copper and brass, 1444), and Saint Petronius (chased silver, containing the arm of the Holy Bishop of Bologna). Also preserved are a small detached fresco attributed to Vitale da Bologna, two small paintings on copper likely executed by Agostino Carracci, a small Nativity scene by Mazza (17th century), and the two terracotta sculptures representing Saint Joseph and the Child Jesus made by Ubaldo Gandolfi. Finally, of remarkable interest are the 12th-century Byzantine hemispherical cup, the parish Pallium, two Agnus Dei from Popes Boniface IX (1389–1404) and Gregory XII (1406–1409), and small medals of blessed wax, among the oldest known.
