They constitute the most direct and tangible testimony of the historical events of the Academy of Fine Arts, heir to the Napoleonic national institution which, founded in 1804, preceded the National Art Gallery (1882), set up in the same building. In the great hall, adapted from the former church of St. Ignatius and used as a library, two paintings by Giacomo Pavia and Felice Torelli are preserved, while the Allegory of Fame by Marcantonio Franceschini and the two busts of Clement XI and Cardinal Aldrovandi, executed respectively by Agostino Cornacchini (attr.) and Bernardino Ludovisi (1728), are displayed in the Clementina Hall, suitable for exhibiting small-format objects. In the adjacent Curlandia room, home to the Clementine Academy, founded in 1710 under the protection of Clement XI, there is the Monument to Duke Peter of Curlandia, executed by Giacomo De Maria based on a design by Angelo Venturoli. In the corridor of the offices are placed the 18th-century Marsigli-Aldrovandi terracotta reliefs.
