It preserves documentation of the centuries-old history of theatre and music in Cesena, evidenced by posters, flyers and programs, photographs and drawings, costumes and stage sets, and now also video and audio recordings. Alongside this archival section, it features an artistic segment that promises significant development thanks to a collection of historic backdrops and curtains, and especially scenes and theater curtains commissioned from contemporary artists (Richi Perlotti and Massimo Pulini, among the first). An interesting feature is represented by the stage machinery which, before the advent of modern sound technologies in theatre, allowed audiences to be amazed with thunder and lightning effects.
