The first phase of the Bardini Garden is a late Baroque period in which the central part of the garden, already characterized by a large staircase, was decorated and enriched with statues and the large wall-fountain to the west thanks to the efforts of Giulio Mozzi, who was an expert botanist and passionate about garden art.
The second phase is nineteenth-century: the owner of the western part of the Bardini Garden, Jacques Louis Le Blanc, transformed the upper part of the garden towards the walls into an Anglo-Chinese garden; from this work, one can admire the large dragon channel.
Then the antique dealer Stefano Bardini (owner since 1913) and his son Ugo further enriched the garden with fountains and statues.
After the restoration completed in 2007, important collections of plants can be admired, including camellias, hydrangeas, azaleas, roses. From the Belvedere, you can enjoy one of the most extraordinary views of Florence.
