Travis, a platform that enables travel influencers to share and earn from the brands they love, announced the launch of its product Bookable Links. The product is now available for a select group of creators, including access to over 10,000 hotels worldwide with major brands such as Marriott, Intercontinental, and Graduate Hotels. After an initial launch phase, it is now available for all social media creators: with no minimum follower requirements or upfront subscription costs.

With Travis Bookable Links, influencers create bookable hotel links for the stays they’ve had and add them to any post or profile on social media. They offer their followers the opportunity to book hotels right at the point of inspiration. When the reservation is completed on Travis, creators earn a portion of the reservation’s value.

The majority of micro-creators and influencers with fewer than 100,000 followers create content for free or rely on one-time brand agreements to earn income“, said Nicole Tj, co-founder of Travis. “With our Bookable Links product, we provide a new revenue pathway for these creators, simplifying the process that aspiring travelers can undertake to visit their main destinations.”

Creators are changing the way consumers discover travel, increasingly influencing vacation preferences and spending decisions. However, tools and infrastructure are lacking that would allow them to earn from their influencer efforts. Travis’s internal research with micro-creators shows that while paid brand offers account for 90% of creators’ income, only 10% of influencer content is actually paid. Travis has stepped in to enable creators to earn passive and recurring income from the remaining 90% of their content.

“In a world where typical influencers have started to lose influence because everyone knows what #ad means, creators face a difficult line between trust and profitability,” said TikTok travel influencer Marissa Klurstein. “As a travel creator, it seems the time has come for there to be a way to share the places we truly love and instead be rewarded for our honesty, experience, and good taste.”

Co-founders Nicole Tj and Thomas Lo are former creators themselves, with experience managing influencer campaigns and extensive experience working with tourism and travel organizations over the past 10 years. With their unique perspective on the challenges faced by creators, brands in the travel sector, and avid travelers themselves, they are building Travis with the mission of enabling anyone to become a travel creator.
