Corfu, Mykonos, and Ibiza are highly requested destinations by Italians, especially for those seeking fun and an affordable holiday. But what are the travel flows this summer? Mykonos is crowded with Italians (40% of visitors). Corfu and Ibiza are equally popular among tourists from Italy.
You may have already seen them on new agency catalogs, or perhaps in some reel on Instagram, but we are sure that Corfu, Mykonos, and Ibiza do not need any introduction. In recent months, these destinations, among the most famous in the Mediterranean, have experienced a true revival in the tourism sector: data on flight searches show that the travel demand has increased significantly in the spring months, especially from mid-April, then stabilized in June.
In the last thirty days (May 30 – June 29), the average daily variation rate of demand was -0.34% for Corfu, while for Ibiza and Mykonos it was +0.50%. The number of searches during this period is still very high: Ibiza 4.5 million, Mykonos 2.0 million, and Corfu 1.8 million.

CORFU
Tourists wanting to go to Corfu primarily choose two periods: the last weeks of June and, above all, the early weeks of August. Travel demand for July is still very high but is between two significant peaks. The August peak is almost solely driven by the Italian market: Italians are the users with the highest number of flight searches to Corfu, 33% of which depart between August 1st and 18th. The demand for the end of June is supported, in addition to Italians, by British and Germans. Travelers interested in visiting Corfu are mainly Europeans: the American market is not in the Top 10, and this is a trend shared by all three islands.
MYKONOS
For Mykonos, Italians are also at the top of the list, but in this case, it is almost a monopoly: they account for 40.2% of total searches. The British market, in second place, accounts for 14.7%. Inevitably, the market trends of this island are strongly influenced by the travel preferences of Italians, and indeed, the most searched period to reach Mykonos is the first half of August. The demand for June and July is evenly split among Italians, Brits, Greeks, and Spanish. Tourists are also interested in traveling during the low season: for September, searches mainly come from Italians and Brits.
IBIZA
Most searches for Ibiza come from Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom: together, they represent about 69% of the total demand. For Ibiza, tourists primarily choose two periods, but the demand is less concentrated. Spaniards and Germans are most interested in June, preferring the central weeks of the month, while Italians, again, support the demand for August. Travel demand for Ibiza has a shorter seasonal pattern than others: after a peak on August 12th, the demand drops rapidly.
