Questa grande “space and time machine” finally puts the sky at the public’s disposal, condensing centuries and light years above our heads. Under the wide 14-meter dome, a perfect reproduction of the starry sky lights up: the motions of the Sun, the Moon, and the planets against the background of the Zodiac, the Milky Way, and 4500 stars.

Three digital projectors also allow real-time true three-dimensional navigation in deep space. Touching the sky with a finger is now possible: with simulations and all-sky projections, celestial bodies, nebulae, and galaxies are truly within reach.

The Rome planetarium offers a wide program of live astronomical shows, lectures, events, and astronomical observations aimed at every type of audience, to get closer to the wonders of the sky and deepen its secrets. A fascinating mix of emotion, technology, and scientific rigor.

The adjacent astronomical museum takes the visitor on a journey from the Earth to the universe through the major themes of space, time, the origin of elements, and offers an engaging immersive experience, among large models of planets, dioramas, and interactive multimedia stations with astronomical video games.

The Rome planetarium returns to reopen a window on the sky: an astronomical theater to reclaim the spectacle of the starry vault. And to launch into the depths of space to discover the cosmos around us.
