La Pinacoteca houses works from donations or acquisitions. The building is a modern structure specifically intended for the museum. It consists of 3 above-ground floors. On the ground floor there is the exhibition hall, the bookshop, and a storage room. On the first floor the gallery, the conference room, the library, and offices. On the second floor there is an apartment-studio for resident artists. The whole covers a total of 400 square meters. In 2006, an internal restoration of the building took place. The permanent collection (works of painting, sculpture, graphics, and photography) is divided into various sections representing the geographical origin of the works.
