The Toy Museum is private and is located in an 18th-century noble palace.
It houses a collection of about 400 fine toys dating back to the 19th and 20th centuries, originating from Sicily, other Italian regions, and also European countries.
Placed in special showcases, you can admire numerous porcelain, celluloid, wax, and papier-mâché dolls.
Also on display are dollhouses furnished with refined small furniture, pedal cars, rocking horses, and various animals made of fabric or leather.
The collection of these precious toys is the result of the passion of Professor Piraino and his daughters.
The museum also produces and publishes books, catalogs, CDs, and writings of an educational and documentary nature, organizes conferences and seminars, establishes restoration courses, and courses related to the evolution of children’s play activities.
